Dr. Ken Brough is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CURAVITA. Dr. Brough graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic (Davenport, Iowa) in 1991. In 2005, Dr. Brough received his Diplomate in Chiropractic Philosophical Standards (DCPhS). After two years practicing as an Associate at another local clinic, Dr. Brough opened the Glebe Chiropractic Clinic + Massage Therapy Centre, which has developed into CURAVITA, in 1994. Due to its success, growth, and his passion to have a greater reach in serving the community, Dr. Brough opened the Byward location of CURAVITA, in 2009. Dr. Brough employs a collaborative healthcare team of over 30 professionals that includes Chiropractors, Physiotherapists, Registered Massage Therapists, Clinic Health Assistants, a Chief Operations Officer, and a Chief Business & Relationship Officer.
Dr. Brough is passionate about the practice of Chiropractic as well as the profession. As the CEO of CURAVITA, his clinics employ a collaborative care model that allows his chiropractors, physiotherapists and registered massage therapists to focus on the aspects of practice that are unique to each profession, while allowing referrals to other healthcare professionals. His clinic model is also directed around developing new chiropractor/physiotherapist / registered massage therapist professional skills as well as their interpersonal skills so that they can develop more fully and be more engaged within the practice, the profession and the community.
Dr. Brough has been deeply involved with the Ontario Chiropractic Association for over 12 years. He is currently the President of the OCA and previously served as the Secretary-Treasurer, Vice President and a member on the Board of Directors. In addition, Dr. Brough served as the Ontario Governor to the Canadian Chiropractic Association, for 9 years where he sat as the Chair of the Government and Inter-Professional Relations Committee. In that role, he was responsible for leading the CCA’s lobbying efforts with the Federal Government and its related stakeholders as well as relationships with allied professional groups. He also served on the Steering Committee of the Canadian Chiropractic Clinical Guidelines Initiative.
Dr. Ken Brough is the recipient of the OCA’s 2022 Chiropractor of the Year. The OCA’s prestigious Chiropractor of the Year Award honours a Chiropractor who has been an OCA member in good standing for 15 years or more and demonstrates a sustained commitment to the profession by acting as a leader and role model and has made a significant contribution to the profession through Community Service, Patient Care, Research and Advocacy. The recipient of this Award is chosen by a distinguished and independent panel of leaders within the Ontario chiropractic profession as well as previous award recipients.
Dr. Brough is married to a wonderful and supportive wife with whom he shares a passion for travel, food and wine. When not in practice, he is an avid marathon runner and race car driver.
